Tamil Nadu

Some pictures I took from my trip to Tamil Nadu while i was in India last year. These are from a tour of some temples. The dog was following me. :)

Ribbon Roses

I attached my roses with thin ribbon to make a bouquet. Then I attached it to a hair band.

To make:

Use 12-22 in (depending on how many petals you want) of ribbon (narrower ribbon is easier). About half way down, fold at a ninety degree angle. Pass one end under and then the other, repeat until all ribbon is used. hold the ends and release the rest.

It should look like this. Pull one end down holding in the same spot until the ribbon wraps into a rose. Sew ends in place and cut off excess. TADA!

I like unicorns. And it's fat. :D

Stenciled Deer

I found a picture of a deer on the internet and printed it out. Then I taped it to a piece of poster board and cut out the outline using a exacto knife. I spray painted 2 light coats onto regular paper. I'm going to try a t-shirt next!

I found a picture of a layered dress that inspired me to draw this. I drew it in colored pencil.

It's a bad picture. I drew this in regular pencil.

Crochet Bracelet

I love these and they are so soft! Crochet 3-7 chain stiches (depending on how wide you want the bracelet) and then make about 20 rows of double stiches. (I have small wrists so it was more like 15 rows.) More instructions here

Bottle Cap Pocket Mirrors

I carry these everywhere!

To make:

Just buy one inch round mirrors and hot glue them to bottle caps.
